Who We Are
Anchor & Bloom operates as a licensed Nurse Registry (license # 30213229).
What is the difference between a home health agency and a nurse registry?
A home health agency hires caregivers as W2 employees. The home health agency trains, manages, and supervises their employee caregivers, and the home health agency has the freedom to assign the caregivers to clients in a manner that is in the best interests of the home health agency’s overall business and client needs. Although most home health agencies attempt to assign the client’s caregiver of choice to them, this often does not happen as a result of scheduling logistics and caregiver service prioritization. Neither the client nor caregiver has control over the particular client-caregiver relationship.
A nurse registry does not employ caregivers. A nurse registry maintains a registry of thoroughly vetted caregivers who are independent contractors and who meet the highest standards of care required by the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) to provide their service specialties.
When a client is seeking the non-medical services of a caregiver, Anchor & Bloom matches the specific needs of the senior client with the qualifications of the caregivers on our registry and refers caregivers to the clients, facilitating the connection and giving both the client and caregivers full control over a mutually agreed upon match. The caregiver chooses whether or not to accept a referral, and the client chooses whether or not to contract with a referred caregiver.
This leads to a beautiful outcome; both the client and caregiver choose their specific connection based on compatibility, agreed upon tailored services, and coordinated scheduling. The client and caregiver mutually set the caregiver’s service rate, and they establish a client-caregiver relationship where the caregiver commits to the client and is their primary service provider. The client benefits from rate transparency, and the client and caregiver directly coordinate the provision and scheduling of services. The caregiver is an independent contractor who is not an employee of either Anchor & Bloom or the client.
In short, the client contracts with the caregiver of their choice! At Anchor & Bloom, we understand and appreciate the importance of trust and reliability in the client-caregiver relationship, and the nurse registry model is well suited to facilitate this connection.
The caregiver is trained, qualified, vetted, and an independent contractor, and Anchor & Bloom does not train, manage, nor supervise the caregiver. If at any time a client feels they would benefit from having a registered nurse visit their home, Anchor & Bloom would be pleased to facilitate that visit at any time, for an additional fee. Someone from Anchor & Bloom is on call 24/7, so please do not hesitate to call or text* 407-966-3440 as needed, day or night, as we are on standby to assist! If you reach our voicemail, please leave a message, and our on-call staff member will reach out to you as soon as possible.
In addition to referring caregivers to our clients, Anchor & Bloom provides ongoing administrative support, providing software to our clients and their caregivers that facilitates schedule coordination and Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) and providing billing services on behalf of the caregiver and caregiver payments on behalf of the clients. The client is afforded greater control over their care, matching with the caregiver of their choice, while Anchor & Bloom’s services free the client from the administrative burdens associated with their caregiver’s provision of services. If the client has Long-Term Care Insurance (LTCI), the invoices and visit logs provided to the client by Anchor & Bloom allow the reimbursement process to be simple and seamless.
